Jake Jacobus, dropped at birth

On "Maui Net," Jake Jacobus tries to defend his actions on the County Council floor. Apparently, he was dropped at birth. He writes:

..."I attended the County council meeting on Friday, August 7th. At that meeting, I took extreme offense to Wayne Nishiki's up-side down flag and took the occassion to remove it...."

Ahui ho,
Jake Jacobus

First off, this is how you spell "occasion." Dumb ass. Secondly, it is "A hui hou." Dumb ass. So what does the Hawaiian Flag really mean to you Jake? What is it that offends you so? That it's not plastic and made in China like the one you're holding in the picture I posted a couple days ago? That the Kanaka Maoli had their land stolen from them? You object to someone saying that they sympathize with the Kanaka? Why are you in Hawaii? Dumb ass.

You should be prosecuted for attempted theft. You should have been arrested on the spot. You should move back to Texas. Dumb ass.

The "editors" of The Maui News

Do the editors of The Maui News even bother to proof-read their copy before it goes to print?

Emily Bott correctly pointed out that their headline, "Prison mele in Calif. deepens budget worries" changes the entire meaning of the news story. Mele meaning "song" in 'Olelo Kanaka and melee meaning "a confused fight, skirmish, or scuffle."

How hard is it to see the difference between mele and melee?

How can we take The Maui News seriously as a newspaper when almost every week, they print enormous factual errors, libelous letters to the editor and can't spot typos in their own headlines?

The Maui News, it's good for compost and not much else.

Pat Kean

Pat Kean writes a ton of letters to the Maui News that always denigrate Kanaka Maoli, The Hawaiian Kingdom, and community activists. But who is Pat Kean? What gives him (or her -It's Pat!) the gall to speak to any Hawaiian issues? Is Pat a Kanaka?

Judging from Pat's blog, I would have to say no, so I don't understand why Pat would involve him/herself with the issues of the Kanaka. In fact, Pat isn't concerned with the issues of the Kanaka, but wants to "Find leaders in the Churches on Maui, that will motivate their members to vote, and find additional leaders to run for office...If we can get 80% of church members to vote, we can change the way Politics are run in Hawaii. "

Pat wants to change Maui politics to reflect his/her idea of what America should be. Christian. Conservative. Pat puts down anyone who works toward Hawaiian Sovereignty. Is that the Christian part, or the conservative part speaking Pat? The history of Christian Missionaries in Hawaii is dubious at best, so for Pat to want to turn Hawaii into a "Christian/Conservative" state is just a continuation of the missionary children's goal to wipe out the Kanaka.

Pat's blog is sponsored, or at least features ads for the Heritage Foundation and the CATO Institute. The Heritage Foundation is a policy group trying to continue Reagan's failed doctrine, while the CATO Institute is basically a Libertarian group. On one of the pages featured on Pat's blog, they plan on disrupting Neil Abercrombie's health care town hall meeting and a few of the comments on the page ask where they can go to disrupt Mazie Hirono's town hall meetings.

Pat Kean is no friend of Hawaii, and judging from his/her blog, is no friend of democracy either.

Hey Jake Jacobus!

Why don't you go back to Texas, you disrespectful moron. (And take your American flag, and shove it up your ass).
